Management Team

Jason Klein and David Weis - Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs Jason Klein and David Weis
Founders
Jason Klein and David Weis grew up as childhood friends in Newton. In 1988, after recognizing the potential of the health and fitness industry, Jason purchased an aerobics studio in Beacon Hill. Shortly thereafter, Jason contacted his childhood friend David, and together in 1989, they opened their first BHAC when they were both in their late twenties. They fondly remember doing the lion's share of the demolition of the space that would be the first club by themselves and with friends and family members, and then buying their first StairMaster with their credit cards.  This facility was later named the “Top New Club” in the country by IHRSA, the health club trade association.

In 1992, they expanded with a second facility at North Station, and in 1998 added the West Newton gym. The BHAC’s fourth location was introduced in the fall of 2000 in the Waterfront/North End area. The fifth club opened in Brookline in 2002 and Brighton Center became the home of the sixth BHAC in the fall of 2004.  A beautiful location in Wellesley opened in the resurrected Linden Street in November of 2007 and just two months later, a huge new facility opened along Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton, just blocks from Cleveland Circle.

Both Jason and David are committed to keeping the Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs innovative and state-of-the-art while maintaining the comfortable, friendly feel that makes the BHAC unique. As owners, they recognize that the success of the Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs is largely attributable to the one thing that makes their clubs unique: the excellence of the BHAC staff.  For that reason, many BHAC managers are equity owners of the club and all are career-minded professionals, completely dedicated to one thing: making BHAC members happy.
