Frank Underwood once said ““There are two kinds of pain. The sort of pain that makes you strong, or useless pain. The sort of pain that’s only suffering. I have no patience for useless things.”  That’s the kind of badass attitude that 50 training sessions with Will builds.  I joined Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs last year, and have been training with Will twice a week since October 2016.


Do I hurt on training days?  Yes, undoubtedly.  The works out are hard, but Will is 100% with me at every training session, every circuit, every rep.  As a result, I reached a level of physical strength I only fathomed.   What first impressed me when I started training was Will’s ability to pinpoint areas of weakness, with surgical precision, down to the exact muscle fiber.  He designed a workout program to increase both my shoulder mobility and lower body strength, while working towards overall fitness goals. 50 training sessions later my posture has improved, and I can bounce a quarter off my glutes and quads.  I used to be intimidated of lower body workouts, but now I can squat and deadlift like a boss.


Will takes a long-term investment in his clients.  He crafts training session with the long-term game in mind.  He encourages me, but is never overbearing, knows when to push and when not to.  He’s not a drill instructor; he is your favorite coach.


To say the least, 50 training sessions later I am addicted to training and growing through the pain of hard work – thanks Will.
